Create Mesh
Introduction
This dialog appears when you click on Show Mesh on the toolbar. It defines the settings for the mesh view screen. Once you click on OK the mesh view will open.
Settings
Mesh Dimensions Width And Height
You can change the number of vertices used in the creation of the mesh here. Generally the more vertices used to create the mesh the better (smoother) the appearance of the mesh in the world view. However higher numbers of vertices can cause your video card to slow down. Note: older cards may not support more than a certain number of vertices - T2 will warn you if this is the case.
World Units Width And Height
World units can be anything you want, e.g. metres, miles, kilometres etc. it all depends how you want to use the output. Note: since lights are specified using percentages the values here will not affect the lighting.
Multiple Mesh
With ‘create one mesh’ ticked a single mesh of triangles will be created with the texture mapped over it. This is normally fine for viewing purposes but if you wish to export the data (see Mesh Screen) into another package or game you may wish to divide the world into a grid of mesh. You can specify how many wide and high this grid will be. In addition you can specify if one texture should be used for all the mesh or if the texture should be divided up as well.
